The best way as it is the safest and most simple way to purify your mala is with:

Sage Smudging: Pass your mala through the smoke of burning sage or palo santo. This helps remove any negative energies.

There are other purification options, such as water and sea salt, although, some stones don't like these types of purification. Sage or palo santo smudging it the safest way to purify your mala without damaging the stones if you're unsure.

Recharging:

The best way as it is the safest and most simple way to purify your mala is with:

Moonlight Bath: Place your mala under the light of a full moon overnight. The moon's energy will cleanse and purify it.

Clear Quartz: Place your mala on a piece of clear quartz or amethyst overnight. These crystals have strong cleansing and charging properties.

Visualization: Hold your mala in your hands, close your eyes, and imagine it being filled with bright white or golden light. Set the intention that it's cleansed and recharged.

Sunlight can also be good for some stones, but not all of them, so I am offering here the safest ways to respect each stone and make sure you will have the best purifying and recharging methods.

After wearing your mala, the tassel can sometimes become wrinkled. It is very simple to restore its beauty with a little water and a hairbrush or comb. Lightly wet the tassel and brush it. It will dry naturally. If a few threads are pulled, you can simply cut them so that all the threads are the same length. And there you have a brand new tassel! :)
